Monday December 28, 2009 through January 15, 2010 - Mortenson will intermittently close I-394 lanes to insulate and install a heat trace(keeps drain pipes from freezing) on sanitary/storm lines from the Twins Staduim and Plaza. Closures will vary from Eastbound to Westbound and will be scheduled to avoid rush hours. Warning signs and an off-duty police officer will assist with traffic as needed but as always please use caution and watch for signage.

Monday through Friday November 30th through December 4th, from 10am until 3pm. - Mortenson will close the westernmost eastbound lane to install the Tradition Wall panels. Mortenson believes this work can be completed as quickly as 3 days, but as always please use caution in construction zones, and watch for directional traffic signage.

Wednesday October 21, 2009 beginning at 9am ending at 3pm - MG McGrath & Danny's will be unloading trusses which support the wind veil sculpture on Ramp B. This unloading will affect the intersection of 6th Street North and 2nd Avenue North, on the north side closest to the plaza. Please watch for signage.

Tuesday Sept 8, 2009 beginning at 9am and ending at 3pm - VEIT/FPI/North Country Concrete will be completing the sidewalk, curb and asphalt work on each side of 7th Street North between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times but there will be staggered lane closures, and the sidewalk on the south side of 7th Street will be closed.

Friday August 14, 2009 beginning at 7pm through Monday August 17, at 5am - VEIT and FPI Paving will rebuild an repave the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 6th Street North. This will close all traffic lanes and sidewalks on 2nd Avenue North, all traffic lanes and Target Center Sidewalk on 6th Street North and close the 394 exit to 6th Street North.
Friday August 14, 2009 beginning at 9am ending at 3pm - McGrath and LeJeune will set signs behind the scoreboard. This will restrict traffic on the 394 on ramp south of 3rd Avenue North and the 5th Street North intersection.

Sunday August 16, 2009 beginning at 12noon ending at 5pm (or when completed) - VEIT and FPI paving will perform asphalt work in support of the 7th Street Plaza scope. This will effect the right lane of 7th Street North from 2nd Avenue North to 3rd Avenue North.

This will close all traffic lanes and sidewalks on 2nd Avenue North, all traffic lanes and Target Center Sidewalk on 6th Street North and close the 394 exit to 6th Street North.

Saturday July 25, 2009 beginning at 5am ending at 5pm Skyway work will be performed by Gephart(eletrical work), Interclad(curtain wall & glazing work), Berwald(roofing work) this will close all moving lanes and sidewalks on 7th Street North between 2nd Avenue North and 3rd Avenue North.
Saturday July 25, 2009 beginning at 5am ending at 5pm VEIT and FPI Paving will install a full depth bituminous street pavement patch accross 2nd Avenue North(curb to curb). This will impact all traffic lanes and the sidewalk along Target Center. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times. Please watch for signage, use caution, and expect delays when traveling in this area.
Saturday July 25, 2009 beginning at 5:30am ending at 12 noon - Mortenson will pour concrete for a portion of the new 6th Street Pedistrian Bridge. This will effect all traffic lanes on 6th Street North between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue.
Metro Transit will re-route buses during this closure information will be posted at the bus stops.
A City of Minneapolis off-duty Police Officer will assist as needed or required in providing Traffic Control during these closures.

Friday June 26, 2009 beginning at 7am through Saturday June 27, 2009 at 2pm - Mortenson will install underground utilities and connect the storm drain in the Ramp A (south) sidewalk. This will close the Ramp A sidewalk on the southside of 7th Street North.
Saturday June 27, 2009 beginning at 4am through Saturday June 27, 2009 at 2pm - Mortenson will pour concrete for the skywalk connection from Ramp A to Target Field over 7th Street North. This will completely close all moving lanes and the sidewalk on 7th Street North, from 2nd Avenue North to 3rd Avenue North.

Friday, June 12, 2009 beginning at 7pm, through Monday, June 15, 2009 ending at 5am - Mortenson will be lifting the span completing the pedestrian bridge. This will close 7th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. As always watch for construction signs and detours.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 through Friday, April 24, 2009 - Mortenson will be drilling concrete drilling to create mechanical and electrical connestions for the Ballpark Plaza. This will impact the 394 off/on ramps to Washington Ave and Ramp B. Lane shifts and traffic changes will be taking place during this time, PLEASE watch for signage to alert you to these changes.

Thursday, April 2, 2009 beginning at 9am ending at 3pm - Mortenson and VEIT will be unloading piles, moving a crane, driving piles and loading and unloading equipment. This will impact the left moving lane and sidewalk of 7th Street North

Monday, March 30, 2009 through Friday, April 10, 2009 beginning daily at 7am ending at 2:30pm - Mortenson will be revising the plumbing and electrical to accommodate the new design of the Target Plaza. This will close the Ramp B exit to I394.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009 beginning at 7:30am ending at Noon - Mortenson will be performing sidewalk demolition to join the Ballpark structure with the bridge. This will close the 394 East bound bus lane.
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 beginning at 7:30am ending at 1pm - Mortenson will continue sidewalk demolition, this will shift the 394 West bound bus lane.
Please allow extra time and look for signage to assist you in reaching your destination.

Friday, March 20, 2009 beginning at 9am ending at 11am - Highway Technologies and Keller Fence will be setting fencing panels and mesh on the jersey barriers for Phase II of the sidewalk demolition project. This will affect the center lane of traffic on 7th Street North from 3rd Avenue to the crown of the 7th Street bridge.

March 2, 2009
Monday, March 2, 2009 - Ending September 21, 2009 -Mortenson will close 7th Street North in two phases for sidewalk construction. Phase one will begin March 2 and will close 7th Street North from 2nd Avenue North to 3rd Avenue North until the end of June. Phase Two will close 7th Street North from 3rd Avenue North to the 7th Street bridge mid-point where the railroad tracks cross under the bridge. Phase two will begin at the completion of Phase one and continue through the end of July.

Thrusday, February 12, beginning at 7am and ending at 3pm - Metro Manufacturing will be unloading plaza stair materials. During the unloading process the Northern most lane on 7th Street North and the 7th Steet North sidewalk will be affected.
Motorists, bicylists, and pedestrians are encouraged to drive, ride and walk carefully, expect delays, and allow extra time to reach destinations.
