Carpool to Work Program

Who is eligible?

$20 Rate

  • Two or more passengers
  • Commuters from west or northwest using I-394 or I-94 to drive to work.
  • Minnesota Driver's license or State ID with proof of residence in eligible area.(current address must be on ID)

$99 Rate

  • Any other commuter with two or more passengers.

How to register

  • Online, or in person at Commuter Connection, US Bank Plaza, 220 South 6th Street, Suite 230 (skyway level)

After you register, permits can be mailed to the lead driver or picked up at the Commuter Connection. Please call to arrange pick up. Each carpool member must show their ID at the Ramp A office.  You'll pay for a quarterly contract ($60 total) and receive your ramp access card on the spot.  Billing is sent every 3 months and renewal information is sent to the lead driver every 6 months.

GUARANTEED RIDE HOME

Carpoolers are automatically enrolled in the program. Every 6 months participants are mailed two coupons for an emergency ride home. Use coupons for:


  • Bus fare (insert into fare box)
  • Up to $25 reimbursement towards Taxi Cab fare
  • Light Rail Fare reimbursement
  • Visit Metro Transit  for more information

FREE USE OF THE MnPASS LANES

  • Vehicles with 2 or passengers can use the MnPASS lanes
